Confession is about
saying what you have done wrong to someone you did it to. We are made of spirit,
soul and body. Offending someone sometimes requires you informing God before
telling the person. Change of heart leads to confession and confession leads to
repentance.
Confession is not about saying ‘forgive me Lord’ repeatedly,
it is about saying the exactly sin(s) you have committed to God with sincerity
of heart. Confession makes you to be recognized by God and then the process for
the forgiveness of your sin starts. Until Isaiah confessed his sins then he was
recognized and was cleansed.
Isaiah 6:5-7 ”Then I said, Woe is me! For I am undone;
because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of
unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6Then
flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had
taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7And he laid it upon my
mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken
away, and thy sin purged.”
You cannot just walk
up to someone you did something wrong to at the back and tell him you offend
him without stating what you did. Your apology will not be accepted like that. You cannot expect your dad to act good
to you after you’ve offended him, until you tell him and apologize what you
did.
Why do we have to tell God about what did
wrong to someone and you cannot tell the person? We are made of spirit, soul
and body. If the person is not aware of the wrong thing you did to him, his
spirit will be, and our God is a God that works in the spirit, once you confess
to him what you did and you are sorry, He will send your apology to that man’s
spirit and case will be resolved physically and spiritually.
If there is anything you’re feeling guilty about, confess it
to God now and your heart will be healed.
Confession is the
healing power to make you whole.
