They say action speaks louder than voice. People read so
much meaning to actions than to words. Thus, you can easily be known and judge
you not by your utterances but by your attitude. You do not have to tell people
that you are a thief; all you need to do is to steal what does not belong to
you. You do not have to tell people that your word is bound; all you need to do
is to let your actions match your words repeatedly and consistently.
This is the reason, people get the message, interpret it,
form an opinion about it, give you a name accordingly and possibly relate with
you with that mindset. For instance, in Antioch, (Act 11:26) the disciples were
not proclaiming themselves as Christians. People actually got the message from
their attitudes and actions and gave them such name.
The fact is for every action, an opinion is formed. And once
an opinion is formed, it is always very difficult to change. And if you must
correct it, you will have to work very hard to change such opinion. It is
action that creates opinion in the first place, and it is action that will
change such opinion. The kind of life that Apostle Paul lived made those around
him to praise God on his behalf ‘Galatians 1:24- And they praised God because of me’.
Will those around you be ever grateful to God for coming in
contact with you or will they regret the day they met you? Think on this. If
you visit a place just for a day or a few weeks, what you do there will linger
on in the memory of those you relate with even when you would have left the
place. As you set out today in pursuit of your assignment, watch your actions,
reactions, and attitudes. They say a lot about you.
Remain blessed.
